The Health Datapalooza
Open Health Data in the United Kingdom
Political will, combined with new technologies, private sector innovations and a patient-centered approach has sparked an ‘information revolution’ in the UK health sector. This workshop is a unique opportunity to hear from leaders of the UK’s National Health Service who are at the center of shaping open health data policy and exploiting its potential. The UK experience will focus on three key areas: clinical performance, information management and servicing data to the public. Our experts will share their knowledge through up to date case studies. Examples will include the development of new indicators to measure clinical quality, releasing prescribing and GP clinical outcomes data, as well as the experience of managing a national health website that puts patients in control of their healthcare by publishing quality information to inform choice.
